SARANAC, Mich. – Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch has donated funding to several community groups so local children in need have school supplies for the upcoming school year.

Herbruck’s donated to United Way of Montcalm-Ionia Counties’ Adopt-a-Classroom program and Ionia-based The Right Door’s back-to-school supply giveaway in Michigan. In Pennsylvania, where Herbruck’s operates Blue Springs Egg Farm, the company donated to United Way of Franklin County and to Rocket Totes, which is giving away backpacks for students.

“Herbruck’s is proud to support our local children and help them get excited and ready to learn during the upcoming school year,” said Amy Herbruck, public and community relations manager at Herbruck’s. “We pride ourselves on being a good neighbor to the communities we serve, and helping ensure our local children have what they need to succeed in school is one of the ways we do so.”

Supporting local students and schools is just one way Herbruck’s works to be a good neighbor to the community it serves. The family business also supports the community through egg donations totaling 2 million annually, blood drives, toy collections and contributions to local organizations throughout the year.

“The Right Door is very appreciative of Herbruck’s generous donation toward our Back to School Bash, said Kerry Possehn, CEO of The Right Door. “This event provides new backpacks and school supplies for children attending school in Ionia County. We could not have made this event successful without Herbruck’s support!”
